We offer post adoption podiatric care to local area children. This care is often neglected as after a month or so the child is now considered normal. In addition to routine podiatric care these children need special care for: a) Catch up vaccinations. b) Catch up growth spurt especially important in orphanage reared children. b) Psychosocial adjustments.d) Speech/Language crossover confusion. e) Nutritional monitoring as these children may manifest relative Fe, Ca and Vitamin D deficiency in post adoption growth spurt.

Health Insurance companies love to find pre-existing conditions to deny or delay health benefits coverage at the time they need most that is immediately after arrival. Please check with your child?s proposed health insurance plan prior to departure abroad. Please discuss with us if you have any concerns or any unusual health needs are anticipated. Adopted children from other counties occasionally require extensive medical and Lab workup which may not be routinely covered in a in insurance coverage tailored for a typical healthier American child.
Check your insurance for a limit to preventive care benefits per year. A typical adult oriented health plan may have say 300 dollars max per year of preventive care benefits which is usually enough for your annual adult exam.
